Brent Stewart
“I understand that this is more than just a case to my clients — it’s their life and their family’s livelihood, and I take that very seriously.“
For attorney Brent Stewart, practicing law isn’t just about winning a case — it’s about helping people when they need it most. When an injury puts someone’s life and livelihood in jeopardy, Brent is intent on helping them pick up the pieces.
With more than 35 years of legal experience, Brent provides comprehensive, compassionate representation to everyone who walks through his doors — personalized, one-on-one advocacy that truly puts clients first. He understands the difficulties clients face after an accident, often after fighting insurance companies on their own with little success.
Brent refuses to let those efforts go to waste or watch clients be bullied into silence; he marshals legal resources to fight for what’s right. Many clients are surprised that he answers their calls personally, meets with them face-to-face, and stays genuinely invested in their well-being — a reflection of the family atmosphere the team at Stewart Law Offices has built over the years.
Practice
Licensed in South Carolina and West Virginia, Brent concentrates his practice on personal injury law — including car accidents, tractor-trailer accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation.
Recognition
Brent holds lifetime membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum® — honors reserved for attorneys who have won million- and multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, earned by fewer than 1% of trial lawyers nationwide. He has also received the AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® — its highest peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards, achieved by only about 10% of attorneys.
Brent’s Successes
Brent is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, West Virginia, and multiple federal courts.
His primary practice area is personal injury law, a broad field that includes car accidents, tractor-trailer accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation. - $1,578,210 for a motorcycle accident

More About Brent
The son of a schoolteacher and a counselor, Brent grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia, where his family instilled the value of education and hard work early. As a young man mowing lawns for money, he struck up conversations with a client who was an attorney — and from that point on, he knew he wanted to practice law.
Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University in 1986 and his law degree from West Virginia University School of Law three years later.
He began his career in Wheeling at Bordas and Bordas, then served as an attorney for the Office of the Attorney General of Guam before returning stateside to practice in Charleston, South Carolina.
In 1995, he opened Stewart Law Offices’ first location in Rock Hill — a firm that has now served the Carolinas for more than 30 years, since expanded to Columbia, Spartanburg, Beaufort, Lexington, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Brent’s colleagues admire his ability to earn the trust of clients and co-workers alike, and he treats his team like family. He credits his wife and children as a huge motivation — and, like the attorney who inspired him as a boy, he hopes to set an example for future generations about fairness, empathy, justice, and dedication.
He’ll be the first to tell you he hopes you never need his number, but if you do, Stewart Law Offices will fight hard for you.
