Brent has earned his stripes when it comes to injury law. His most notable achievement is that he has earned a lifetime membership to both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum† and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum†. These honors are only secured by lawyers who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements and are both prominent groups in the United States. Less than 1% of trial lawyers nationwide earn membership to the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Brent has also been awarded The AV Preeminent® Rating which is the pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process that is managed and monitored by the world’s most trusted legal resource, Martindale-Hubbell®. When examining Brent’s successful career and continued dedication to winning justice for his clients, it is no surprise that he is who you want fighting for you.
As the son of a school teacher and a counselor in rural Wheeling, West Virginia, pursuing higher education was a necessity for Brent P. Stewart. And it was his humble beginning that led him to develop a relentless work ethic. He reminisces about how he used to mow grass to earn money as a youngster and one of the yards he mowed was that of a lawyer. After asking that lawyer question after question about what he did, he knew from then on that he wanted to pursue a career in law. He later graduated from The Ohio State University in 1986 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and went on to earn his law degree at the School of Law at West Virginia University in 1989. Upon graduating from law school, Brent joined the law firm of Bordas and Bordas in his hometown of Wheeling, West Virginia. Brent P. Stewart later served in the respected position of Attorney General for the United States Pacific Island Territory of Guam in the South Pacific.
After successfully serving overseas for two years, Brent P. Stewart returned stateside. He practiced law in Charleston, SC before opening Stewart Law Offices, LLC in Rock Hill, SC in 1995. When Brent first set out to open his own practice, he knew that the keys to success lay in putting the client’s need for justice & compensation first and foremost and offering one on one personal attention to each client. While staying true to this philosophy, he has expanded and opened additional offices in Columbia, Spartanburg, and Beaufort, SC as well as Charlotte, NC. Brent is licensed to practice in South Carolina, West Virginia, and multiple federal courts. He concentrates his practice representing personal injury victims including those who have suffered from car accidents, tractor trailer accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, on-the-job accidents, and workers’ compensation claims.
Though Brent’s success as a lawyer translates clearly to paper, it’s the esteem that his employees, clients and family hold him in that speaks volumes. Brent’s leadership has earned him the respect of employees who have worked with him for years. His employees speak of him with admiration and praise his ability to not only earn but also deserve the trust and respect of both his employees and his clients. Many clients seemed surprised that Brent answers their calls personally, meets with them face to face frequently and how clear it is that he is truly invested in their well-being and success. He treats his clients like extensions of his family and puts them as a top priority.
Perhaps the reason Brent is so motivated to pour so much of himself into his clients is that he always has his own family in mind. Brent lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Kile and children Charlotte, 12 and Max, 10. He will proudly admit that his family is the motivating factor in his success. By standing up for justice and fighting to help right the wrongs for those seeking his help, Brent aspires to be positive example future generations.
