Truck Accident Blocks All Lanes on I-526WB

A green Honda Accord, parked outside of traffic with a flat tire, was struck by an 18 wheeler on May 4th. The driver of the car did not have room enough to change his tire and decided to return with a tow truck the next day. Before the car driver could return, a truck collided with the car and subsequently blocked all traffic on I-526 near Rivers Ave. The tractor trailer driver may have suffered a medical episode and was taken to the hospital. Officials are still investigating.

No one was killed in this accident, but fatal accident are unfortunately common. In 2011, 3,781 people were killed in accidents involving large trucks, and that number rose to 3,921 in 2012. That same year, 77,000 large trucks were involved in injury crashes, and that was over 10,000 more crashes than the year before.

How Can a Lawyer Help Me If I’ve Been in a Truck Accident?
